Our Statement of Faith

At International Community Church, our beliefs are rooted in the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ. These core truths guide our worship, ministry, and daily lives as we seek to honor God in all we do.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and our ultimate authority for faith and practice. It is God's revelation to humanity and contains everything necessary for salvation and Christian living.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." - 2 Timothy 3:16

The Trinity

We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, yet there is one God. This mystery of the Trinity is central to our understanding of God's nature.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." - Matthew 28:19

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven. He is our Lord and Savior, and the only way to eternal life.

"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" - John 14:6

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is God, who convicts of sin, regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers believers for Christian living and service. He indwells every believer and guides us into all truth.

"But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth." - John 16:13

Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. It is not earned by good works but is a free gift from God. All who believe in Jesus Christ are saved and have eternal life.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." - Ephesians 2:8

The Church

We believe the church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers. The local church exists to worship God, build up believers, and reach the lost. We are called to love one another and serve together in unity.

"And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead." - Colossians 1:18

Baptism & Communion

We practice believer's baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith and communion as a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice. These ordinances are symbols of our relationship with Jesus Christ.

"Therefore we were buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." - Romans 6:4

Second Coming

We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to earth. He will judge the living and the dead, establish His kingdom, and believers will spend eternity with Him in heaven.

"This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." - Acts 1:11
